Present Your Startup
Over
Present Your Startup is een jaarlijks terugkerende accelerator en pitchcompetitie speciaal voor startups. Elk jaar gaan onze adviseurs op zoek naar de twintig beste startups in Nederland. Deze startups worden vervolgens uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan de Prepare Your Startup Academy. Dit is een leergang die speciaal is ontwikkeld voor startups om de startups verder te helpen met groei. Nadat de startups de leergang hebben voltooid, worden zij uitgenodigd om hun startup te pitchen voor experts en investeerders in competitievorm. Uiteindelijk strijden vijf startups in de finale om de titel winnaar van Present Your Startup.
Casus
Startups vinden het vaak lastig om financiering te vinden. En als ze dan een investering hebben gevonden, is het in de meeste gevallen zo dat de startups nog niet klaar zijn om de financiering op te halen, waardoor investeerders de startups weer de deur wijzen. Daarnaast is het voor startups ook lastig het juiste netwerk aan te boren. Daar gaat veel tijd overheen, waardoor de innovatie kan worden tegengehouden.
Wat deden wij?
Om ervoor te zorgen dat startups niet direct de deur wordt gewezen, hebben wij een acceleratorprogramma bedacht met een academie en aan het einde een pitch competitie. Tijdens de academie, krijgen de startups te maken met verschillende experts uit het veld. Deze experts helpen de startups om hun idee goed uit te werken en om het idee te pitchen aan potentiele investeerders. Daarnaast bieden we startups toegang tot ons gehele netwerk wat inmiddels bestaat uit een diverse groep van investeerders, experts, corporates, MKB en overheidsinstellingen. Zo zorgen we er samen voor dat er meer innovatieve oplossingen op grote schaal kunnen worden uitgerold. Daarnaast creëren we een innovatief ecosysteem.
In 2014 is het initiatief begonnen en inmiddels hebben we het format al met verschillende partners uitgerold op internationaal niveau. Zo is het programma actief in Nederland, Curaçao en New York.

Present Your Startup
About
Present Your Startup is an annual accelerator and pitching competition for start-ups. Each year our consultants seek out the twenty best start-ups in the Netherlands. These start-ups are then invited to participate in Prepare Your Startup Academy. This is a course developed specifically to help start-ups grow. Once the start-ups have completed the course, they are invited to pitch their start-up to experts and investors in a competition. Eventually five start-ups remain in the finals to battle for the title of Present Your Startup Winner.
Case
Start-ups often struggle with financing. And once an investor is found, start-ups are usually not ready to receive an investment often causing the investor to reject the opportunity. In addition, it is difficult for a start-up to activate the right network. It takes a lot of time which can work against innovation.
What did we do?
To ensure that start-ups aren’t rejected straight away, we created an accelerator programme with an academy and a pitching content. During the academy, the start-ups work with various experts from the field. These experts help start-ups elaborate their idea and pitch it to potential investors. In addition, we offer start-ups access to our entire network which now consists of a diverse group of investors, experts, corporates, SME and government bodies. Together we make sure that more innovative solutions can be implemented at scale. Plus we create an innovative ecosystem.
The initiative began in 2014. Today, the format has been implemented with various partners at an international level. The programme is operational in the Netherlands, Curacao and New York.
